About us

About Larljus Foundation

Lärljus Stiftelse is a Swedish, non-profit organization working to combat illiteracy in East Africa, where illiteracy is a challenge for many, especially among women and vulnerable groups. Founded in 2011, Lärljus has quickly become a significant player in the fight to provide education in the mother tongue, which is a central part of their approach.

Garissa High School

In Kenya, about 22% of adults are illiterate. Despite a more developed education system, regional gaps remain. Lärljus collaborates in four cities, aiming to support 100,000 students through inclusive literacy programs.
